The celebration of Mahashivaratri in Moscow in 2019 will be held on the night of March 4-5.

One of the most famous and beautiful holidays dedicated to Shiva. In India, it is celebrated on a special scale, because for many, this night is sacred, filled with the grace of Mahadev. As a rule, fasting is observed all day before and all night long, and food (prasadam) is taken already at dawn the next day. The night is filled with meditation on Shiva: pujas are performed, legends are told, hymns and stotras are sung.
